Wedding Photography & Film FAQs | Wildkin Weddings
Everything you might be wondering, answered gently and honestly.
Where are you based and do you travel?
We are based in Norfolk, UK and photograph and film weddings across the UK and beyond. Travel within the included radius is covered in each package, and we are always happy to discuss further travel, destination weddings, or elopements further afield. Much of our local work is rooted in wedding photography in Norfolk, while destination days are shaped around experience, place and intention.
We’re not comfortable in front of the camera, is that a problem?
Not at all. Most couples tell us this. We work quietly and gently, giving simple guidance only when needed. There is no pressure to perform, just space to be yourselves.
How would you describe the style?
Our work is documentary led with a cinematic edge. We focus on real moments as they unfold naturally, with prompts, minimal direction and no forced posing. The aim is work that feels honest, timeless and true to you, which is at the heart of our documentary wedding photography approach.
How many images or how much film will we receive?
Each package includes clear guidance on image numbers or film length. Galleries and films are carefully curated rather than padded, prioritising storytelling and quality over volume.
How long does it take to receive our photos or film?
Delivery timelines vary by package and season, but are clearly listed with each offering. Photography is typically delivered within 6 to 10 weeks, and films within 8 to 12 weeks. Analogue formats may take slightly longer due to lab processing.
Do you offer both photography and videography?
Yes. Photography, videography and hybrid coverage are all available. Hybrid coverage combines both under one cohesive creative vision, with a second shooter included.
What is hybrid coverage?
Hybrid coverage brings photography and videography together seamlessly. With two shooters working together, your day is captured fully in stills and motion without disruption or competing styles.
Do you shoot on film or analogue formats?
Yes. We offer 35mm film, medium format film, Polaroid instant photography and Super 8 film. These can be added to digital coverage or combined into a complete analogue experience.
Will we still receive digital files if we choose analogue?
Yes. All analogue images and films are professionally scanned and delivered digitally, alongside your physical negatives, prints or film reels.
What physical items do we receive?
Analogue packages include a personalised wooden keepsake box containing your original negatives, Polaroid prints or Super 8 film spool, along with selected fine art prints.
Can Super 8 film be projected?
Yes. Super 8 colour reversal film produces a physical, playable film. Your original Super 8 spool can be projected using a Super 8 projector.
Can we customise a package?
In many cases, yes. While packages are thoughtfully structured, we are always open to shaping coverage around your plans, especially for elopements, micro weddings or unconventional days.
How many weddings do you take on each year?
We take on a limited number of weddings annually to ensure every couple receives the time, care and creativity their story deserves.
When should we enquire?
As early as you can. Popular dates often book well in advance, especially for full day, hybrid and analogue coverage. Last minute enquiries are always welcome if availability allows.
How do we book?
Start by checking availability or booking a discovery call. If we are a good fit, we will guide you through the booking process clearly and simply.
How much does it cost to elope in the UK?
Costs vary depending on travel, accommodation, coverage and timing. For a practical guide tailored to UK elopements in 2026, see How much does it cost to elope in the UK?
