Hey, I'm Alex

Founder of wildkin

A Way of Seeing

That sense of play is important to me. Not in a loud or chaotic way, but in the freedom to explore, to follow curiosity, and to let moments unfold naturally rather than forcing them into place. It’s the same approach I bring to Wildkin.

My background still runs through everything I do, and it’s why I centre my work around a documentary approach that lets moments unfold naturally rather than forcing them into place.

Before weddings, I spent years creating adventure and travel content, learning how to tell stories through movement, atmosphere and feeling. That background still runs through everything I do. Weddings and elopements, to me, are their own kind of adventure, two people choosing to step into something together, often in wild or meaningful places, often doing things their own way.

What I Care About

I’m happiest when things feel real. When plans are flexible, when laughter comes easily, when there’s space for quiet moments and moments of softness alongside the big emotions.

I care deeply about how a day feels, not just how it looks, and I believe the most powerful stories live in the in between.

Keeping It Small

Wildkin is intentionally small. I take on a limited number of weddings and sessions each year so every couple gets my full attention, energy and care.

This work isn’t about volume or perfection. It’s about presence, trust and creating something honest that still feels like you years down the line.

Wildkin is a reflection of how I move through the world.

I’m Alex, a photographer and filmmaker based in Norfolk, drawn to wild places, quiet moments and the feeling of being outdoors with the people you love. My work is rooted in wedding photography in Norfolk, where smaller, more intentional days often leave space for real connection.

Much of my life has been shaped by adventure, travel, long walks, coastlines, forests, campervans, slow mornings and the kind of days that feel more like play than work.

Weddings and elopements, to me, are their own kind of adventure, unhurried, personal, and grounded in experience rather than expectation.

The World Around Wildkin

Big Grey, Our VW T25

Big Grey, our vintage VW T25, is a big part of how Wildkin moves through the world.

She represents a slower, more intentional way of travelling. Long roads, early starts, loud arrivals and the freedom to take the long way round. Coastlines, forests, mountaintops at golden hour, and places you only find by following a feeling rather than a postcode.

The conversion was done with intention. Built for movement, flexibility and the kind of days that don’t run to a strict plan. Big Grey allows us to arrive calmly, take a breath, make a coffee, and step into a wedding or session grounded and present.

She’s become part of elopements, pre wedding shoots, wild locations and adventures that feel more like play than work. A place to pause between moments, reset, and stay connected to the environment around us.

That sense of freedom and adaptability runs through Wildkin. Being able to meet couples where they are, both creatively and literally. Staying open to what unfolds, rather than forcing a day into a rigid structure.

Big Grey reminds us to slow down, stay curious and leave space for the unexpected. The same values we bring to documenting weddings, elopements and quiet moments in between.

Harriet, Moose & Home

Wildkin isn’t just me.

My partner Harriet (@otherpeach) is often by my side. She joins me on adventures and occasionally on shoots, quietly observing, helping, learning and soaking it all in. She’s currently in training, with the intention of becoming part of Wildkin in her own right.

Harriet brings a calm, creative presence and a deep sensitivity to moments, people and place. Having her alongside me feels natural, like an extension of how Wildkin already works, gently, intuitively and without ego.

Then there’s Moose, our slightly mad black Labrador puppy. Full of curiosity, muddy paws and boundless energy, he’s a daily reminder to slow down, get outside, laugh when plans go off course and embrace the chaos when it turns up.

We live together in a small cottage in the heart of North Norfolk. Life here moves with the seasons, shaped by coastal air, long walks, early mornings and coming home tired in the best way. This slower rhythm feeds directly into how Wildkin exists, grounded, present and connected to place.

It’s not a perfect or polished life. It’s a very real one. And it’s from this place that Wildkin continues to grow.
